This course reinforces students' skills in solid modelling and expands into computational simulation. Utilizing advanced CAD/CAM/CAE simulation software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Altair Hyperworks, ANSYS Workbench, and Stratasys Insight 3D printing software, and in a controlled environment, students engage in developing skills required to work in today's industrial and integrated computer-aided product development. The course focuses on a hands-on approach to product innovation and the effective use of computational simulation technology. The course covers aspects of structural and mechanical CAE/FEA as well as thermal management CAE/CFD simulations when designing intelligent Mechatronics products.
