DRUGS AND BEHAVIOUR This introduction to psychopharmacology examines drugs which act on the nervous system and their subsequent impact on behaviour. Topics include basic neurophysiology and mechanisms of drug addiction, tolerance and withdrawal. Discussion focuses on the effects and underlying mechanisms of several drug types including antidepressants, antipsychotics, alcohol, cocaine, hallucinogens, nicotine, and caffeine.
