INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY This course introduces many of the main concepts within the field of sociology such as culture, socialization, norms, social roles, values, deviance, and social structure. In addition, this course utilizes the basic concepts and perspectives in sociology to examine critically and to interpret the kinds of interaction experienced in social institutions such as the economy, the polity, the family, education, and religion.
