This course introduces the nutrition care process and the fundamentals of the pathophysiology and nutritional management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and disorders of energy balance. Monitoring of nutritional status, the development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition care plans, medical terminology and drug-nutrient interactions are also discussed.
