This course proposes a reading of Québec novels representative of the most important social and literary movements in the 20th century: the roman de la terre, the urban novel, the psychological novel, the novel of the Révolution tranquille, and the contemporary novel. The evolution of literary forms is studied as a function of the ideological shifts in Québec society throughout the 20th century. (Cross-listed with English 3240).
