This elective modular course builds on fundamental concepts of small animal medicine covered in the core curriculum. The course will delve more deeply into clinical assessment and management of gastrointestinal diseases of dogs and cats such as chronic enteropathies, gastrointestinal motility disorders, as well as respiratory diseases, hematology and coagulation disorders, and fungal diseases. Students will develop an increased understanding of the clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases presented. Most of the presentations will be interactive and based on clinical cases.
