This course will focus on the role of nutrition in athletic performance and fitness. Topics include energy expenditure, macro- and micro-nutrients, hydration and dietary supplementation. Eating strategies for optimal performance and other current topics in sports nutrition will also be discussed. (Cross-listed with Foods & Nutrition 3750).
