Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework that encourages course instructors and developers to pre-emptively design courses with accessibility in mind. With the UDL framework students with accessibility needs do not come to courses with deficits, but rather the course, in its design, erects accessibility barriers. The UDL framework encourages instructors to incorporate multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement into their teaching.

Through participation in this learning space, you will be able to:

  • Identify how students may encounter accessibility barriers in their course experiences
  • Identify and resolve accessibility barriers by applying UDL principles to learning contexts.

This course is part of the Learner-Centredness Domain.
