This course is designed to provide business students with an introductory survey of the many business applications of descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include frequency distributions, measures of location and dispersion, basic probability theory, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling methods and sampling distributions, sample size, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear regression, and forecasting. Three hours a week.
