This course will give an overview on the commercialization of innovations in life science areas. The course will highlight this sector from several vantage points: research & development, regulatory, marketing, governance, financial, legal and intellectual property considerations, funding, aligning scientific and business goals. It aims to create an understanding for the types and sources of innovation, technological approaches, key issues as well as strategic considerations and best practices in the life science industry. The course incorporates the latest research on topics in the business of life sciences. It will take into account the international business environment, globalization aspects and emerging market dynamics as well as the 4th industrial revolution in life sciences and its impact on the business case. The course will consist of lectures, examples and discussion of current topics in the business of life science.
