This course is a continuation of Foods and Nutrition 3520 with emphasis on the pathophysiology and nutritional management of disease states that are typically treated in a tertiary care setting such as liver and gallbladder diseases, renal system diseases and diseases of the hematological, and respiratory systems. Additional topics such as specialized nutrition support and critical care will also be discussed.
