The student will gain advanced training in evaluating and interpreting histologic slides, formulating appropriate descriptions, and achieving a final diagnosis for diseases in a variety of animal species. Experience with recognizing lesions and writing histologic reports will be gained through practice. Directed readings will supplement the clinical material. Descriptive microscopy, morphologic diagnoses, pathogenesis and prognosis are emphasized.
