This course assists the student to explain and promote the role of the nurse practitioner. It addresses political, social, and economic forces related to the scope of practice, as well as system and organizational issues that may affect the delivery of care. Emphasis is placed on the legal and ethical considerations for the nurse practitioner in an extended practice environment.
