Videos can be used within an educational context to introduce new concepts, demonstrate new skills or complement classroom activities. We will provide an introduction to the video technologies and multimedia support available to you at UPEI and show examples of how videos can be used in your course. The final part of this workshop will be creating a practice video.
Through participation in this learning space, you will be able to:
- Evaluate various types of educational videos and determine which form may best engage students and support the intended learning targets.
- Identify and utilize available technologies and evaluate those technologies based on your set-up and design goals.
- Explore the process of video creation and create a simple teaching and learning video.
