The course is organized around the evolution of entrepreneurial companies emphasizing the dynamic nature of the issues confronting these firms. The financial factors that affect entrepreneurial firms at various stages through to the exit decision are considered. Specific topics include the viability of proposed start-up ventures, the potential sources of financing for entrepreneurial firms, financial distress, and the harvesting decision. The key decisions of firms at various phases of their life cycle are examined. A mix of interactive lectures and case discussions is used.
