This course examines the relationship and interplay between International Organizations and national interests, as reflected in debates on human security. The course examines theories of International Organizations and their historical evolution out of the ashes of the Second World War. Students analyze the role and capacity of major international multilateral organizations such as the United Nations (Security Council), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the International Criminal Court, and the Arctic Council.
