This course is an introduction to some of the mathematical methods commonly used in the physical sciences and engineering, with an emphasis on applications in physics. Topics include: vector calculus in Cartesian and curvilinear coordinates, Cartesian tensors, the Calculus of Variations, Fourier series and Fourier transforms, ordinary and partial differential equations.
