This course gives students a theoretical overview of the field of comparative politics, the different treatments of recurring questions in the discipline, and the historical and geographic frameworks within which contemporary polities have developed. The course is retrospective in its critical examination of various models and classification schemes. Cross-listed with Diversity and Social Justice Studies (cf.
