This elective modular course builds on fundamentals of interpersonal communication delivered in the core curriculum, including VCA 3140, Professional Foundations IV, in which students will be engaged concurrently. Distinguishing features of this course include use of existing written communications as a basis for exploring why certain client communications are more effective than others; analysis of in-person testimonials involving veterinarians and clients; minimal reliance on emulation or modeling and greater emphasis on errors to avoid; and a fundamentally student-driven approach. Successful completion of the course will contribute to an understanding of how good communications can improve the delivery of veterinary care. Five-week module with 3 hours of instructional time per week. 04-01-2022-04-02-2022
