This course introduces students to finite mathematical techniques and to mathematical models in business, life and the social sciences. The course begins with an introduction to mathematical models, types of models, and conversion of verbal models to mathematical models. Topics covered include systems of linear equations and matrices, linear inequalities and linear programming, sets, counting and probability. NOTE: Credit for Mathematics 1110 will not be allowed if taken concurrent with or subsequent to Mathematics 2610.
