Through the marks they give, teachers provide a great deal of feedback  to students, however, they don’t always benefit from it. According to Carless and Boud (2018) feedback literacy means the understandings, capacities and dispositions needed to make sense of information and use it to enhance work or learning strategies. This workshop will explore the concepts of giving and receiving feedback from the teacher to student and student to student perspectives.

Through participation in this learning space, you will be able to:

  • Identify how feedback can enhance learning

  • Explore the principles of giving and receiving feedback

  • Compare praise with affirmation in finding an appropriate companion for feedback
