This course is for students who want to explore a broad array of issues and 'big' questions that are related to human culture and the natural world from a local to a global perspective. This course emphasizes and cultivates critical inquiry, writing and reading skills through an analysis of texts/topics of contemporary significance. Note: Credit will only be granted for one (1) of the UPEI First Year Experience courses (UPEI-1010/ENG-1010, UPEI-1020 OR UPEI-1030). In exceptional circumstances, permission to receive credit for more than one of these courses may be permitted by the Dean.
