This elective modular course builds on fundamental concepts of small animal medicine covered in the core curriculum. The course will delve more deeply into clinical assessment and management of urinary tract diseases of dogs and cats, as well as hematology and coagulation disorders, infectious diseases (tick-borne and fungal) and respiratory diseases.
Students will develop an increased understanding of the clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases presented. When applicable, some of the presentations will be case based.
Five-week module with 3 hours of lecture per week.
