This course introduces students to the theoretical foundations and pedagogical practices related to the development of attitudes, knowledge, and literacy skills in the contexts of French first and second language at all school levels. Students begin to build their understanding of the reading and writing processes and become aware of the fundamental role of language skills in learning to read and write. Students begin to learn the components of an effective literacy program and learn to plan, teach and assess, their students through effective learning experiences and practices.
