An overview of how planning tools and practice shape the form of communities, including: (1) Key issues and principles of sustainability at a community scale; as well as related planning approaches; (2) Sustainable community planning approaches and tools for identifying and achieving quality of life, and (3) The components and process of developing an integrated sustainable community plan.
